FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Are Office Expander downloads Digitally Signed and timestamped so that I know the files are from Office Expander?

>> Yes.

Can I insert more than one picture per slide?

>> Yes. In order to get groups of pictures on each slide, insert groups of pictures in a number of passes while using the resize option.

How do I insert 4 pictures on each slide?

>> Simply run Insert Pics 4 times. Each time insert a different selection from the pictures. Resize to the top left, top right, bottom left, and bottom right respectively. After the first run, make sure to insert the pictures starting on the slide number from the first run. This will insert 4 pictures on each slide.

How do I install the software once I download it?

>> Run the downloaded executable (see the files in C:\Insert_Pics). This will open a PowerPoint description/setup file (you must have macros enabled in the setup file). Then follow the simple instruction. The program will load and the Insert Pics button will then appear in the toolbar at the top of any PowerPoint file.

What if I have trouble installing the software?

>> On some computers, access to the Visual Basic project will have to be set in PowerPoint by: Tools-macro-security  -> Trusted Publishers -> Check Allow access to
Visual Basic Project. Then close PowerPoint and reopen.

I don't have Macros enabled, can I still install the software?

>> You must enable macros before you run the description/setup file macro. Macros must be clicked "enabled" when you opened the file. After running the macro and installing the program, you can change your macro security back (if desired).

To set macro security: In PowerPoint click: Tools-Macros-Security-Medium. Then close and reopen PowerPoint so that macros will be enabled.

(Note some laptops, and even some configurations of desktop computers, require macro security to be set to low instead of medium).

Where did it download?

>> C:\Insert_Pics

How do I uninstall Insert_Pics?

>> First close Powerpoint (close all Powerpoint presentations).
Then open one Powerpoint presentation.
Click Tools-Addins and uncheck Insert_Pics.
